THE DARKNESS HAS FALLEN...
And within it hid a secret that slowly began to come to light as people began to change without warning. For some, it began as just terrible headaches that could be passed off as migraines or coming down with the flue. For others, it hit them like a freight train hard and fast. No one knew what was happening to them in the beginning and none were prepared for what would happen next. For those who were afflicted began to exhibit strange powers the likes of which the world had never seen before.
Some had powers that were not noticeable unless they used them while others were very apparent by the changing of the color of their skin, or by the sudden appearance of wings or of scales. Others began to exhibit powers that defied the laws of physics and gravity and were very powerful indeed and of course once the word got out, once one of these newly evolved people were spotted, fear and panic spread. The fear so great that those unafflicted turned on their friends and family if they'd shown any signs of this disease as they were calling it.
Now, the hatred and fear for them has spread and the afflicted ones have left the only homes that they've ever known. They've had to find places to run and to hide out of fear of retribution. They have been forsaken by the world, cast out as refugees. And they are not the only ones as other creatures have begun to show their true faces. Now they all must band together to defend themselves against those that would see them dead. Survival is of the most importance and the lines have been drawn. Stand up and fight for your lives or fall. The choice is yours.
