Azzurra walked out of a shop. She smiled at her fellow Cappellettis that had come with her and then continued deeper into the city. Soon the 20 year old was separated from her group. She wanted some time to herelf and she did not think that anything would happen. The sun shown down on her dark hair and the woman took in a deep breath and let it loose with a happy sigh. Spending some time in the city and having some time away from her family. She liked being a Cappalletti, but when a lot of them talked about fighting the Montecchis. Azzurra looked at the shops she had approached and looked at them. Which one to enter now? Bakery? Seamstress? There were a few shops here, but she did not know which one to enter.
Her stomach growled and Azzurra realized that breakfast had been early this morning. It was about sunhigh now so that meant it was about lunchtime. Azzurra first entered the bakery and got a small loaf of bread with a dessert and left. She did not know where to go to eat so she headed back to her group to eat with them. A noise sounded behind her and Azzurra looked back before shaking her head. Of COURSE there would be a noise. It was a city and there was a lot of activity in this part of Verona. Why would one particular noise stand out? Azzurra shrugged and continued on.

Lino’s blue eyes watched intently little passing him by without his notice. He watched the men and women move through the streets, some simply browsing for the latest wares others hoping to sell their goods. Whatever business each man or woman was doing the sound of their shoes upon the cobbled ground, their hustling and bustling, their voices all filled the air creating a mixture of chaos and excitement. Personally Lino liked the business of the market place, there was always something to look at, something new and interesting to find and most importantly all the gossip and news he needed to run his father’s business.
Speaking of his father’s business Lino was happy at the latest expansion in the marketplace. They had just managed to purchase several more small businesses with the owners having to pay a rather pleasing rate for the opportunity to continue trading. Lino never said there was anything kind about business, it was a ruthless market but one he seemed to be quite good at.
As he exited the tailers shop with a nice collection of coin in his pocket Lino’s deep blue eyes fell upon a beautiful woman who walked past him. The smell of freshly cooked bread filled his nostrils and he turned to look more closely at her and it was only then that he realised he was staring at a Cappelletti - he could tell them anywhere. Instantly Lino’s eyes widened, his chest tightening as the young woman walked away from him clearly oblivious to his presence.
What was she doing walking down this street? Was she was flouting her presence as a Cappelletti in a Montennchi area or she was completely unaware that the Montennchi’s had recently taken over this street. Either way she needed to be warned.
Taking a deep breath Lino stepped out onto the bustling street and weaved his way through the crowed. He noticed that she turned around for a moment but whatever she was looking at was not enough to catch her attention and she looked back around and kept walking. Lino continued moving through the crowed until he was but a step behind the beautiful woman and then he struck.
Reaching out Lino wrapped his long fingers around the young woman’s wrist and jerked it behind her back, stepping right up behind her, his chest pressed against her back so no one could see what he was doing. She was shorter than he was and he leaned down, his lips brushing against the shell of her ear. “If you scream I swear it will be the last thing you do” he whispered.

Azzurra jerked backward at the sudden movement. She hissed back, "Let me go Monchetti! Yes I know you from anywhere." Azzurra tried to wriggle free, but the grip was too strong. What was wrong with this man? Why was he manhandling her in public? Azzurra gave a low snarl, "What do you want from me? All I was doing was shopping in the bakery I normally shop at. Is that a crime now?" The woman couldn't believe this Monchetti was keeping her from shopping. No one seemed to notice what was going on and if they did they were too scared to help out. The noise seemed to drown out Azzurra's words towards the Monchetti. She didn't know which one it was, but she could definately tell that he was not of the Cappelletti House and of the Montecchi House. Why did he choose now to strike? Why not wait until she was hidden or in a less travled area? Unless...
"Speak Montecchi. You are not here to kill me, but why did you grab me?" Azzurra hoped that her fellow Cappellettis would not wonder where she was. The last thing Azzurra wanted was to have them come looking for her. It would be really embarrassing if this turned into a spectical... again. Azzurra was getting tired of the feud between the Cappellettis and the Montecchis. She wished there was a way that she could bring peace to both families, but no ideas came to her. Azzurra waited silently for the Monchetti's reply.

“It is a problem when you shop in a Montecchi shop” Lino replied in a low even voice. He held his grip upon the young woman’s wrist, making sure to keep their bodies pressed close together so that none around could see what he was doing. Any that passed would think they were two friends, or perhaps lovers and nothing at all sinister as what was really happening.
Taking a step forward Lino half pushed, half guided the young woman towards the closest alleyway. Luckily it was only one shop over and within a moment or two he had lead the young Cappelletti into the alleyway. The shops overhead cut out a great deal of the light and there was only a dim light casting long shadows across the cobbled stones and walls. Letting go of the young woman’s wrist Lino spun her around and pushed her, not to hard, so that her back was up against the wall. Manoeuvring himself Lino stood in front of the woman an eyebrow raised in response to her question.
“To warn you.” Lino replied. “Because you were shopping in a store which now belongs to my family.”
(OOC: It’s Montecchi hun not Monchetti)

The news was devastating. She narrowed her eyes at the Montecchi, "Well where else am I to go for the bakery? That is the only place I go because I know the bakery is good there. What are we suppose to do while you get all the best food and clothing?" Why did the Montecchis have to get all the good things while the Cappellettis had to seek farther and farther to get their goods? Azzurra was not going to stand for this. She glared at the man and said, "Who are you? I know you are a Montecchi, but I don't think I know who you are." Why was she even talking to this strange, but handsome man.
What the? Why did she think he was handsome? He was a Montecchi! Azzurra shook the thought away, "Tell me why you get all the best stuff in Verona and who you are." Then to be bold she snapped out, "And I'll continue going to that shop. If I get caught I will tell them that I didn't know." Azzurra would not be swayed so easily. Unless the Montecchis announced the addition to their territory then Azzurra would go as long as she could manage. How did she even know if this Montecchi was telling the truth? He was probably lying so his family could be the ones who went to the best bakery shop in all of Verona, but Azzurra was going to make sure that the rival family weren't the most powerful.
Azzurra crossed her arms and waited. When it came to the Montecchis she was not the most patient of people. Her brown eyes flashed with anger as she waited in silence. Montecchis were not even worth waiting for. If he did not answer soon then she would just turn around and walk away and leave him there like the unwanted person that he was. The allyway seemed menacing at this time of day. There was no one in there except Azzurra and the man. Who knew who was hiding in the shadows. This was probably an attempt to kill off a Cappelletti and have one less to deal with. At that thought, Azzurra was instantly on her guard. Who else was in the shadows with them?
OOC: Couldn't help bringing the tension between the families in. It seemed like a good post motivator.

Lino could see that not only was the young woman annoyed by the sudden news she was also growing more and more aggravated with each passing moment. It had never been Lino’s strong suit to harass a woman, he had always been taught by his father to respect woman. After all it was a woman whom gave him life. Women were the bearers of life, they raised children, ran a home, not to mention all the other pleasures they could give. They should be treated with the kindness and honour due. Taking a deep breath Lino refused to let himself become angry as the beautiful young woman continued to spit words out at him.
“My name is Lino, Lorenzo Lino Montecchi... I am the oldest son of Lorenzo Montecchi head of the Montecchi family” Lino said with great pride in his voice. His father was a well known man around Verona and in his own way he was working to make the same strong, powerful name for himself.
Leaning in Lino moved so that his face was bit a mere inch from the beautiful young woman’s. He had to admit that despite being a Cappelletti she was very stunning. But then from his experience all the Cappelletti woman were beautiful, it was part of their charm and allure. One he struggled to resist. A soft smile crept across the man’s face before he spoke again. “And I can assure you that I can make it so you are never served in that bakery again.”
It was a warning, a very clear warning. Of course Lino had no intention in harming the young woman but he hoped that his words, in his deep low voice would have done enough to per sway the young Cappelletti to stop visiting the bakery now owned by the Montecchi family.

Azzurra's eyes flashed, "There is no other bakery in the city that sells fine baked goods as the one that I just left! Are you telling me the Cappellettis have to settle for low quality breads and other bakery goods or travel outside the city for good quality bakery?" The woman wrenced her arm free. "You Montecchis are low. You think you can own everything good and leave others to suffer. Well we'll see about that! Once my family knows what the Montecchis are doing I am sure there is going to be another fight between our two families and you can make sure to thank your father for that." Azzurra picked up the covered basket and asked, "Am I allowed to take my food with me or do I have to hand them over to you and lose my money as well as my purchased items?" Azzurra sent another glare at Lino. He had better not take the bakery items from her. She had bought them fair and sqaure and she had not been told until afterwards that the bread now belonged to the Montecchis.
Azzurra did not really like the man in front of her. He was arrogant, stubborn, and cruel. She had heard that this Lino Montecchi did not harm women yet he had manhandled her in a way that she found offensive. Much as Azzurra wanted peace between the families that could not happen if the Montecchis bought all the good shops in Verona. They were fast becoming part of Montecchi territory and Azzurra was getting tired of finding places to shop. Soon there would be no more good quality shops in Verona thanks to the Montecchis and if that happened than her family would be forced to leave.
At that thought Azzurra's eyes widened before narrowing again, "If you stop me then rest assured that there will be war between our families. One that is more violent than the street brawls that have happened for as long as anyone can remember." Azzurra turned at that and began to walk away. Please don't follow. She thought desperately. Azzurra wanted to keep her baked goods to eat for lunch, but if they were taken from her then she would demand that her money be returned. Azzurra's heart pounded dangerously as her steps away from Lino seemed agonizingly slow.

Lino rolled his eyes when the young Cappelletti threatened him – at least he thought it was supposed to be a threat. In all honestly he was not very scared. His family and hers had been feuding for longer than Lino could remember, longer than he had even been alive! Many good men had lost their lives for this fued and it was more than likely many more would do the same before there was any resolution. Lino hoped that one day, in his life time, there would be an end to all this fighting. That the Cappelletti’s would realise their folly and simply give up and there would be peace in Verona.
“I will head your…. Threat” Lino said with the hint of a smirk upon his lips. He was not frightened at all, especially not from a beautiful young woman who was clearly all talk.
Taking a step back Lino just tilted his head to the side as he watched the beauty move past him. He had no intention of taking her baked goods nor had he any intention of making anyone but the Cappelletti’s suffer. Anyone could shop at any store within Verona, it was only the Cappelletti’s whom could not shop in Montecchi stores – and the same went for Lino. He dare not walk into a Cappelletti store for fear of his life. In fact it was rather hypocritical of this woman to call him low and suggesting that he made people suffer – her family did exactly the same to his after all.
“It was good to meet you Cappelletti” Lino called out after the young woman, a grin on his lips.

Azzurra waved to show that she had acknowledged the man's reply. She was NOT pleased to meet the man. She did not care if he would head her threat, but she would do all in her power to continue coming to the bakery for her goods. It was the only good bakery in Verona. The Cappellettis had very few good shops and the Montecchis seemed to have more. The woman hoped that she would never have to see Lino Montecchi again. He was an arrogent fool. Azzurra disappeared into the crowd and headed back to where her family would be waiting. Once they heard the news of the bakery being lost to them then they would fight back. This war was going on for too long. Azzurra was beginning to wonder why this continued.
She sighed and quickly found her escort. When she returned to them the woman wondered how she would explain the loss of the bakery to them. Many Cappellettis had shopped there for years and now all of a sudden had to stop buying from there? Why couldn't the two families just get along for once? Many different ways of telling the others what had happened raced in her head. Azzurra bit her lip as each step brought her closer to her family and telling them her news.
She stopped in uncertainty. What if they decided to go charging there and start fighting any Montecchi they saw? She could not allow that to happen. She would mention that a passerby had told her rather than Lino Montecchi himself. The man's good looks could not keep from her mind. She liked him, but she did not want to admit it. Besides he probably already had a woman waiting for him. Azzurra shook her head. She needed to stop falling for every man with good looks that crossed her path!

There was little more Lino could do unless he physically wanted to stop the young woman. He had already laid his hands upon her once – something he cringed at doing as it was against his nature to harm a woman. So the Montecchi stood in the alleyway, his eyebrows raised as he watched the young woman, basket in hand, disappear into the darkness. Lino has no doubt that the woman would rush back to the Cappelletti house and inform the family of the latest developments in regards to trading in the city. At least the news would spread quickly and he would not have to spend days spreading the word himself!
Running his hand through his hair Lino sighed loudly and turned, walking back down the alleyway and quickly loosing himself into the hustle and bustle of the city street.
