EYES: Almond-shaped with a slight curve at the end, Isabella's eyes are not overly large or wide but still they are the feature that dominates her countenance and attracts the gaze of any whose glance may fall upon her. They are a colour that falls somewhere between hazel and deep brown, almost golden if caught in the dancing light of a flame or the bright sun. To her vexation, when looked at from a direct front angle, Isabella can appear to be slightly cross-eyed. Although something that is of obsessive embarrasment to her, the quirk is not extremely noticable and indeed only serves to add more interest to her less than traditional features. Isabella's gaze is intense and unwavering, some have even said penetrating, especially when provoked to a not unfrequent temper. To her, the eyes are the window to a person's soul, and although she may not care to admit something so superficial, Isabella is usually drawn to those with either beautiful or especially expressive eyes, before even perhaps being introduced. Her own eyes betray her emotions even when the rest of her body tries to portray a different image, something that she is aware of - if ever Isabella truly wishes to hide something then those who know her well can tell as she avoids meeting eye contact.
HAIR: Isabella's hair, naturally wavy with some curls and of a rich brown colour, is often worn loose meaning that due to her somewhat wild nature its thickness and length mean that it is often tangled. Isabella is blessed in that her hair is naturally of a pleasing quality, and at times she takes pride in her tumbling curls but her complex mind is more often to occupied to spend much time dwelling upon her hair. Indeed, if she were so lucky with mother nature's gift then her lack attention to her hair would leave her looking like a common ruffian. Lacking patience is not the sole reason why Isabella often leaves her hair loose; she truly thinks that the style becomes her much better and complains that having her hair tied tightly back causes a headache.
WEIGHT: Isabella is of extremely slender build, some may even say boyish however there is nothing masculine in her countenance, she merely lacks the soft roundness of some females. Her bones are extremely fine, giving her an almost fragile aspect and certainly making her movements dainty. Slim but not muscular, Isabella has pleasing albeit small curves and long, slight limbs, although she herself wishes for a more traditionally shapely form, like that of her cousin Lilliana.
HEIGHT: Standing at 5 ft 7 inches, Isabella is rather taller than the average woman, especially given her tender age. Only recently, as she emerges from adolescence as a young lady, has Isabella outgrown the arkwardness of her height and almost lanky limbs. Pleasingly Isabella's height now lends itself in aiding her to look elegant and pleasing (if the mood so takes her to present herself in that manner) with once irksome long arms and legs, coupled with her straight posture allowing her to move with fluidity and grace.
VOICE: Isabella's voice is of pleasing dulcet tones, rich and somewhat low in pitch for a young lady such as herself. Such a voice lends itself well to singing, a pastime often enjoyed. These tones last only as long however as it takes for a mood to take hold of her, when she can quickly become loud or extremely quiet, shrill or painfully soft.

GENERAL:
Isabella is not, and has never been what one can call a traditional beauty. She lacks the innocent, blushing prettiness that is desired in a young lady and which her cousin Lilliana possesses in abundance. Despite this, one cannot deny that the uniquness of her features captures the attention of others; enchanting is perhaps a word that can be more accurately applied to describe Isabella than beautiful. Her features are sharp, with high, prominent cheekbones justaposed with full, pouting lips, that still retain some of the rosy expression of childhood when curved in a smile. That smile is often wide, revealing straight, clean teeth beneath, a mark of her privileged lifestyle. Her nose is small and curved at the end but there exists a slight bump on the right side that, whilst ruining the symmetry of her aspect only adds further interest, the result of a fall from a horse when she was younger. Her skin is naturally warm in tone, and without blemish something that Isabella is proud of. A glinting figure of polished marble perhaps is a way to describe her when she walks in the sunlight, her smooth skin, slender build and prominent bone structure being complimentary to the aspects of that material.
ATTIRE:Fashion is not something that much touches upon the mind of Isabella. Pretty dresses and trinquets are pleasing to her and more often that not she will be dressed in them but they soon loose their allure as her changeable attention is drawn by other more substantial things. Isabella favours a more simple style of dress with little adornment but good quality material and an excellent cut. Although at times she can delight in making herself look beautiful with jewels and rich fabrics, more often than not these things are merely irksome to her wild, fanciful manner and unbearably uncomfortable in the heat of the sun. If in the correct humour however rubies are Isabella's favoured jewel, a preference stemming from the gift of a necklace given to her by her dear cousin Lilliana as a birthday gift some years ago.

PERSONALITY
Isabella is a lady with an unseemingly complex and unique personality. She is intelligent and quick-witted, with a mind that aborbs new knowledge with ease and occasional eagerness. Isabella no doubt blessed with a strong mind but she is not perhaps as knowledgable as her dear cousin Lilliana, the person whom is not only like a sister to her but also the one by whom Isabella often compares herself. It is not that she is naturally less gifted than her cousin it is simply that, whilst her mind may be strong and her will inclined to learn to better herself, Isabella's heart and emotions burn with a strength that is comparative to the sun itself beside the forest fire of her mind. Isabella is always an extreme, extremely happy with boundless, childlike energy, riding off into the grounds of her estate on her beloved black horse Fiamma or of bad, almost depressive temper desiring only the quiet solitude of a book.
Isabella is not perhaps the most sociable of creatures, her extreme moods and wild nature meaning that she does not often have the patience for the perserverance of a friendship, but once a strong attachment is formed and no hard work is required to maintain the relationship Isabella is fiercly loyal. Equally, if she takes a dislike to someone be that founded on just reasons or simply because they caught her during an ill temper, it can take much for her bad opinion to be dropped. Even of those that she would count as close, Isabella finds that she must occasionally seek a retreat from, the very noise of their voices seeming to carve a headache into her, save except only for one person that being her cousin Lilliana, who is the one person in Isabella's life who she may describe as a calming influence.
Given her opinionated disposition and fretful emotions, it follows that Isabella is prone to bouts of temper and passion when someone expresses an opinion contradictory to her own. It is not that Isabella enjoys these unseemly fits, but neither does she truly wish to control them completely as she would not then be staying true to herself and those opinions which she values. Isabella is obstinate in her view that she will not conform to the desired meek-willed female stereotype by compromising her principles or worse still that she should be totally ignorant of everything except how to produce children (and whatever other subjects men deem worthy for their pretty little wives) but a consequence of this is the undigified way in which Isabella expresses herself, given that she cannot control her emotions.
Isabella is not an unkind or unloving person but she feels perhaps that something within her errs towards the negative of human nature, her natural reactions and feelings sometimes shocking her. Isabella has her own set of morals and hates to see injustice, but what she admires and aspires to are not exactly what she naturally is. Isabella suffers from extreme pride, impairing her desire to learn as she cannot admit to ever being wrong so will never outwardly learn any lesson from her mistakes. She is prone also to extreme jealously, almost envy and can be rather spiteful towards those that she views as rivals to herself, in any way or form. Vanity and arrogance also number amongst her vices, both traits, along with her pride that Isabella has recently, since becoming more mature and so focussing her mind upon the kind of lady she wishes to become, begun to surpress.
Isabella has an unquenchable desire for adventure and an almost animalistic fear of an unstimulated mind and heart, meaning that she is often seen as wild and reckless by those around her, even to the point that she has been blamed for being a bad influence on Lilliana. Now that she is growing older however these desires have manifested themselves into a simple yet burning desire to make something great of herself, by whatever means. Isabella wishes for her name to be remembered in history and balks at the idea that all trace of her existence will vanish just a few generations after her death. A dangerous desire for a young lady in her position, one that might well lead her into any kind of scandal. Perhaps the secret most keenly guarded by Isabella, so much so that she herself is not consciously aware of it, is her fear of love. It is not as though she despises love, or that she does not see that love can bring the greatest pleasure but love is something that Isabella knows cannot be controlled. Her heart is strong and overflowing with passion - Isabella does not wish to give that away to a man who may destroy it.

*Aunt - Lady ______ Cappelletti
*Cousin - Lilliana Cappelletti

PLACE OF BIRTH: Verona
CURRENT RESIDENCE: House of Cappelletti
WEAPONRY: None except her sharp tongue and vindictive spite
HISTORY:
Alfonso Cappelletti was the youngest Cappelletti brother, a young man whose passion and heart never truly sat well with his high born position and so responsiblities. He was thankful indeed that he had the fortune not to be the first-born of the family, as he was certain he could never have borne the weight of such expectation upon his shoulders, unlike his strong elder brother. Despite his preference for following his heart over his head, a trait of course inherited by his daughter, Alfonso was well-loved by his family, as being the youngest they were prone to indulge him rather than try to change him. Alfonso enjoyed being adored by his family, and relished the freedom that came with it, to the point that when he was in the midst of his lustful youth he even became, for a short time, quite the young rogue, drinking, gambling and love being his favourite pleasures and his only need being to satisfy those pleasures.
Elena D'Esste had grown up around the Cappelletti estate, her mother having worked as a servant there from a young age before marrying her father. Although a few years younger than Alfonso, as children the pair had often played together and even though as they grew older social expectations meant that they could not share a close relationship, they still smiled at each other in passing, remembering a time of innocence together. Elena, as soon as she was old enough had started work as a servant in the household following in her now aging mother's footsteps and it was from this capacity that she observed young Alfonso's slow decline into debauchery, her own heart suffering with each step that the once kind young man took away from God. Elena D'Esste was an extremely devout Christian, a beautiful and sensual young woman but one whose morals and conscience came before everything else, and for a long time she had slowly been falling for the youngest Cappelletti, a love that she had kept hidden. Watching him slide into sin for his own pleasure hardened her feelings towards him and might have cooled her love had Alfonso not at that time realise the error of his ways, after one particular night when he had drunk enough wine to nigh on poison himself. Instead he turned his attention back to God, allowing him to see and appreciate the woman who had forever been in front of his eyes, the woman who could save him from his path of sin, the woman whom he loved for many years.
Their love affair was rapid and passionate, with Alfonso wishing to waste no more time than he already had done and he asked Elena to marry him immediately. Safe in the contract of bethrothal, the pair spent the night together, the night that Isabella was conceived. Alfonso, in his naviety believed that his parents' indulgence would stretch so far as to allow him to marry his love with their blessing but, after confiding in his father and receiving a warning that if he were to marry the girl then he would no longer be owned as a member of the Cappelletti family and that he would be exiled from Verona in disgrace, Alfonso knew he had little choice but to leave that fair city, his and his darling Elena's place of birth, so that they could marry elsewhere and live in peace, together.
The pair left Verona together and were married, Elena by this time already carrying Alfonso's child. Tragedy struck however when a plague of smallpox hit the village that the couple had made their home, and within a month Alfonso Cappelletti was dead, before Isabella was even born.
Elena was left completely bereft and was forced to return to Verona, albeit to the outskirts of the city where she stayed with her Aunt, where she worked in the tavern owned by her Uncle. Into these poverty stricken conditions, Isabella was born and lived the first 4 years of her life. She does not remember much of that time, or of her dear mother, only that Elena was a woman with black eyes and long black hair, who smelt of rosewater.
When Isabella was 4 years old, her mother fell ill and fearing that she did not have long left to live, the worry of what would happen to her little daughter making her sickness only worse, Elena wrote a letter to her deceased husband's brother, now the Lord Cappelletti, asking him if he might take in his little niece as a ward in his household. Elena knew that Alfonso had always been close to his eldest brother and hoped the Lord's lasting affection for his estranged younger sibling would be enough to prompt him to take Isabella, who was a living reminder of Alfonso as not only did she have the very same eyes as her father but also much of the same temperament, into his household. Elena's wish was granted, 3 short months before her mother's death, Isabella was taken to live with her Uncle, Aunt and cousin Lilliana at the House of Capelletti. One of Isabella's greatest regrets is that she did not get the chance to say a proper goodbye to her mother, although of course others have said she would not remember now even if she had, but even to have the knowledge that she had been kissed goodbye by her mother would be enough, even if Isabella could not remember the event.
However life moved in the the Cappelletti household, and little Isabella began to grow up. Her Uncle, who truly did harbour many fond memories of his younger brother and regretted that he had died before being reconcilled with the family, was kind and affectionate towards his little niece, providing for her much the same upbringing as for his own daughter, Lilliana. The two girls, so similar in age were brought up practically as sisters and as the years have passed have grown up to be closer than twins. Opposites though they may be in temperaments, Isabella is extremely dependant upon Lilliana as her confidante and friend.
Having now reached 17 years of age, Isabella is no longer the child that she once was. She has little solid thoughts of the future, she only hopes that it holds something in store for her that matches her unquenchable desire for greatness.

EXAMPLE:The chatter of voices and clink of metal as people toasted each other no longer appeared to Mary as a welcome embodiment of the joy and excitement of the court. Indeed, each passing word that caught her ear, expressing some pleasantry or another grated upon her like a knife sliding across stone. How could everyone in this court be so very false and hypocritical?
Her ill humour could perhaps, in part be put down to the excess of wine that she had consumed thus far this evening. For some, the few glasses that Mary had drunk would have had no effect but she was not accustomed to drinking alcohol and so they had gone to her head. This however did not soften the intensity of the aching bad humour that desecended upon her like a cold mist as she sipped at the intoxicating liquid.
Everyone here at court simpered and curstied to each other, wishing those that they loathed good health and happiness, and then, behind closed doors plotted against each other. It seemed that there was no man or woman who was not part of some faction or another. Her conversation with the blonde-haired Earl rung in her ears - even that seemingly kind and intelligent man was part of the game of the court and seemed to relish it. Mary herself, as a Howard was a member of a faction. All of it seemed so endlessly without purpose to Mary, for what good were position and power at court when one grew old or when one eventually rejoined God in heaven? None of the money could be takenwith you.
